Saunders was hired by SCL Health to upgrade the electrical systems of
the entire hospital’s high voltage system, including all new
transformers and distribution, main electrical feeds into the hospital
and replacement of all automatic transfer switches, generator controls,
and electrical panels. The team analyzed electrical power needed for
critical and life safety equipment in order to allow the hospital to
function with out disruptions.
This 7,585-square-foot project consisted of the replacement of two
existing chillers located in the hospital’s central utility plant.
Unique aspects of the project were that a temporary chiller was required
to ensure continuous service while the old chillers were being
replaced.
This project consisted of replacing and adding air handlers to increase the HVAC capacity needed for the OR and ICU renovations.
This project is a 19,425-square-foot renovation and expansion of the ICU
space in the hospital. The project is taking place in an occupied
hospital, with very complex logistics as other construction projects are
taking place concurrently.
This 12,370-square-foot project consisted of renovations to six PICU rooms, along with associated nurses stations.
This 21,937-square-foot project included the renovation of 12 operating
rooms, as well as installing a new elevator within the existing building
at St. Vincent Hospital.
